Born and raised in Des Moines, I worked for five years as a bike messenger in Chicago, IL and nearly a decade in bike retail before I moved to California and started at Specialized in 2008. 

I have three rules when writing:

Write drunk.
Only write something I'd be interested in reading.
Edit sober.

When not writing you'll find me sleeping, riding, running, taking photos, or attempting to finish Netflix. I'm a sucker for stand-up comedy and summer blockbusters, especially superhero movies. While all sports are interesting, MMA is the only sport I will pay to watch.

My 9-to-5 is with Specialized Bicycles and it's a kick ass job.
